Description	:	Clarence H. Struck, 77, of Steamboat Rock, died Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at the Veteran's Hospital at Knoxville. Services were held Friday, June 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial at Eastlawn Memory Garden both in Eldora. Military rites were conducted by the Roll-Harless Post No. 3974 of the VFW and the Walter-Sayer Post No. 182 of the American Legion. Memorials may directed to the Lutheran School for the Deaf. Clarence was born July 8, 1922, to Fred M. and Martha Jeske Struck in Eldora. He was raised in the Eldora/New Providence area where he lived the majority of his life. On June 23, 1941, he married Evelyn Reiber and they moved to Steamboat Rock in 1972, where he operated Struck's Service and Repair, retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of W.W.II serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the Roll-Harless Post No. 3974 of the VFW and Walter-Sayer Post No. 182 of the American Legion. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Steamboat Rock Fire Dept., where he had served as fire chief. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Folks and husband, Gayle, of Ankeny and Cinda Wehrman and husband, Terry, of Nevada; a brother, Lawrence Struck and wife, Clara, of Eldora; a sister, Gertrude Taber and husband, Chester, of Steamboat Rock; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn in 1996; an infant daughter, Judy; and a brother, Martin. Creps-Abels Funeral Home of Eldora was in charge of arrangements.
