Milledge, 83, resident of the Fort Benton area, died Sunday evening, Oct. 5, 1975, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ina May Diemert, south of Rudyard. Mr. Millege was born Feb. 27, 1892, at Oskaloosa, Iowa. He came to Montana in 1910, and hauled ore in the Belt and Neihart area until he joined the army in 1917. Milledge, 83, resident of the Fort Benton area, died Sunday evening, Oct. 5, 1975, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ina May Diemert, south of Rudyard. Mr. Millege was born Feb. 27, 1892, at Oskaloosa, Iowa. He came to Montana in 1910, and hauled ore in the Belt and Neihart area until he joined the army in 1917. He came to Fort Benton in 1919, where he farmed for a short while. He worked for the city for a great many years. He married Sarah Watson on May 29, 1929, in Fort Benton. He lived in Fort Benton until his death. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ina May Diemert of Rudyard and Mrs. Arlene Keubler of Cypress, Calif.; two sons, Daryel Milledge of Loma and Donald Milledge of Fort Benton; a sister, Mrs. Mae Wares, Chewelah, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His son, Clarence, and two sisters, Bessie and Nora, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
