He was born at the Minch family farm in Stillwater County to John and Mollie (Reichert) Minch. He attended Trewin Grade School and graduated from Park City High School, class of 1949. Read More	"Billings Gazette" on December 7, 2014 LAUREL Clarence (Charlie) Minch, 83, of Laurel, died peacefully at his home on Friday morning, Dec. 5. He was born at the Minch family farm in Stillwater County to John and Mollie (Reichert) Minch. He attended Trewin Grade School and graduated from Park City High School, class of 1949. He then went to work for N.P. Railroad until February 1951, when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After basic training, most of his time was spent aboard the USS Los Angeles during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1955, and then he worked at the B.N. Railroad until May 1958. He then went to work at the C.H.S. Refinery. He married Jane Kamp on Sept. 1, 1951, in San Diego. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and a member of St. Johns in Laurel. Dad was severely burned in November 1989 at work. So it was necessary for him to take an early retirement. Dad enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears. Dad took great pride in his flowers and garden, traveling in his motor home and using his boat. Dad enjoyed Wendover trips. Survivors include his wife, Jane; three children, Larry (Kathy) Minch, Lynn (Chuck) DeMeyer, and LuJuan (Ron) Rolison; grandchildren Chad (Jessi) Rolison, Camby (Joe) Kaltsas, Heidi Rolison, Sara (Sam) DiMichele, Amanda, Melisa and Becca DeMeyer, Nora Minch and Simon Minch; great-grandchildren Dylan Johnson, Claire and Parker Kaltsas, Vincent DiMichele and Logan Rolison; sisters Rose (Dick) Goodall, Mary Ann Fong, Kathleen Minch; and brothers John Minch and Jerry (Colleen) Minch. Viewing will be Monday night from 5 to 7 at Smith Funeral Chapel. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Laurel. Interment will be at the Veterans Cemetery in Laurel at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10. Memorials are suggested to St. Johns Lutheran Church, 417 W. Ninth St., Laurel; Rocky Mountain Hospice; or charity of your choice. Smith Funeral Chapel Laurel is in charge of arrangements. Our thanks to Dr. Ulrich. Our love, rest in peace.
