Description	:	Clarence Lyndal Flowers, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with interment following at Indian Branch Cemetery. Mr. Flowers was born in Darlington County, son of the late Monroe and Bessie Suggs Flowers and was married to the late Sara Farmer Flowers. He served his country with the United States Marines and was owner and operator of Darlington Upholstery. Read More	Clarence Lyndal Flowers, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2008. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with interment following at Indian Branch Cemetery. Mr. Flowers was born in Darlington County, son of the late Monroe and Bessie Suggs Flowers and was married to the late Sara Farmer Flowers. He served his country with the United States Marines and was owner and operator of Darlington Upholstery. Mr. Flowers enjoyed fishing, bottle collecting, gardening and delighted most in the sharing of his vegetables with others. He loved his grandchildren and helping people in need. He was of the Methodist faith. Surviving are two sons, Johnny M. (Nancy) Flowers of Charlotte, N.C., and Clarence "Bucky" (Joyce) Flowers of Mc Bee; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Claude Flowers and Carl "Son" Flowers, both of Darlington; and special friends and care-givers, Baron and Bobbie Jean Blackmon. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by his daughter, Shirley Flowers; brother, Monroe Flowers; and sisters, Clara Chapman, Margaret Willhite and Myrtle Flowers. The family is receiving friends at the home, 727 Flowers Street. Memorials are suggested to Indian Branch United Methodist Church Cemetery; PO Box 224; Darlington, SC 29540.
