He was the owner of Prices Service Station of Barrett. He was a member of Barrett Church of the Nazarene. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Claris and Gilbert Kuehl of Oak Hill and Patti and Jeff Adkins of Bim; sons, Gary D. and Beverly of James Creek, Jesse D. and Jeanie of Barger Springs and Stephen and Gaye of Oak Hill; l5 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Bradshaw of Low Gap and Lucy Vincent Knotts of Columbia, S.C.; special friend, Betty Powers of Barrett; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family wishes to express their gratitude and kind words of encouragement to the many people in the community. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Dr. Mervin C. Smith and the Rev. James Morris officiating . Burial will follow in the Miller cemetery, Madison, with military graveside rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5518, Madison.
