Description	:	Clarence Orval Beyer, 96, passed away April 26, 2017, at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born April 5, 1921, to Jacob and Anna Jane (Ott) Beyer at Gridley, Kansas. Clarence worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, where he was an airplane mechanic until 1945, serving in the South Pacific. After the service, he purchased a Skelly gas station in Gridley, and married Geraldine Fankhauser in 1948. Read More	Clarence Orval Beyer, 96, passed away April 26, 2017, at his home in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born April 5, 1921, to Jacob and Anna Jane (Ott) Beyer at Gridley, Kansas. Clarence worked on the family farm until he was drafted into the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, where he was an airplane mechanic until 1945, serving in the South Pacific. He also was preceded by an infant brother and by his brothers Amos Harold, Floyd Everett and Kenneth Eugene Beyer; and his sisters Bertha Barbara Beyer, Margaret Louise Shaffer, Mildred Milva Rodgers and Edith Lucille Todd. Clarence is survived by his second wife, Deanna King Rea DeVlieger Beyer of Phoenix; his brother, Marion Beyer and wife Nelda, of Burlington; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arizona services were held on May 2, 2017 at the Apostolic Christian Church of America in Phoenix; NOTE: CHANGE OF SERVICES --- Kansas services will be held on Wednesday, May 17, At 11:00 AM, as GRAVESIDE SERVICES at Lamont Apostolic Christian Cemetery. (Directions from Lamont: 1 mile East, 2 miles South). There will be no visitation.
