Born 12/6/1922 in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of Walter and Ruth Huston of Clarks, Neb. In 1948 she married Keith Rice. They farmed in Merrick County and after a career change in 1956, he was employed with the Soil Conservation Service, where they resided in Montevideo, Minn., Seward, Neb., Central City, Neb. and Loup City, Neb. After Keith's passing in 1964, Claribel moved to Lincoln where she married Bert Overcash on December 24, 1965. She was a member of OES Chapter in Central City, of the Lincoln OES Past Matrons Club, life member of the American Legion Auxillary, life member of NARFF, member of Century Guild, member of First Presbyterian Church, a volunteer for Project Help, the Lied Center, Lincoln Public School Foundation, and a member of Advisory Committee of Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department Lifestyle Program. She is survived by Daughter, Carolyn (Willis) Falk, Lincoln; grandsons, Doug (Kathy) Reeves, Central City, NE; Kurt (Bridgette) Reeves, Central City, Neb.; granddaughters, Carmen (Simon) Lester, Gretna, Neb., Julie Hutchinson, Lincoln, Neb.; 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, husbands Keith and Bert, twin brother Lee, sister Phyllis, and grandson Daniel John. Graveside Service will be held at the Central City Cemetery, in Central City, Neb., on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. Memorials may be given to the OES Chapter in Central City. Arrangements by Roper and Sons Funeral Services. No visitation/cremation.
