She was the oldest of five children (Clarice, Clifford, Richard, Luella and Ida). She married Louis Myron Hilgerson (Last Name can be spelled with an "i" or "e") at the First Lutheran parsonage in West Union Iowa by Rev. Mona. In 1974 they moved to West Union and in 1980 they became residents of the Good Samaritan Home in West Union till their death. She was an active Bethany Lutheran Church member. Preceding her in death was her husband Myron in May 1990; parents and two brothers.
