McCoskey, age 99 of Pekin, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 6:30 pm, in Bennett Place of New Albany. Born April 14, 1918 in Pekin, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Justin S. and Lela I. (Fordyce) Hamilton. She was a homemaker, a cook at the old Polk Township School and she retired in 1969 from Eastern High School. She was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ and attended the Blue River Baptist Church. She had been a life resident of Washington County, was a 1936 graduate of the old Pekin High School and was a member of the Salem Senior Citizens. Clarice married Decemter 16, 1939 to Herbert E. McCoskey, who passed away February 8, 2003. Survivors include: 3 Daughters: Judy Geddes of Rathdrum, Idaho, Sue (Larry) Hobson of Sellersburg and Jan (Phillip) Marshall of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 sister. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home. Visitation: 2 to 6 pm Sunday and 9 am until the time of the service on Monday. Interment at Olive Branch Cemetery. Memorial Contributions to: American Cancer Society, 945 North Rush Creek Road, Salem, Indiana 47167. www.cancer.org
