Description	:	TICE CLARICE L.—Clarice L. Tice, 96, of Geneva died Sunday, Sept. 26 at Heritage Crossings in Geneva. Clarice was born Oct. 2, 1907, on a farm near Geneva to William A. and Sarah (Lightbody) Loghry. She attended rural country school and graduated from Geneva high School in 1925. In 1938, they moved to Shickley, where they managed the Shickley State Bank;... Read More	TICE CLARICE L.—Clarice L. Tice, 96, of Geneva died Sunday, Sept. 26 at Heritage Crossings in Geneva. Clarice was born Oct. 2, 1907, on a farm near Geneva to William A. and Sarah (Lightbody) Loghry. She attended rural country school and graduated from Geneva high School in 1925. After high school, she began working for Eller Department Store for 12 years. On Aug. 15, 1932, she was united in marriage to Frank B. Tice in Kearney. They made their home in Geneva. In 1938, they moved to Shickley, where they managed the Shickley State Bank; Frank as president and Clarice as teller. When Frank was drafted to the Army in 1943, Clarice managed the Shickley Bank until after the war. In 1951, they purchased The Commercial State Bank in Clay Center. Frank died on Sept. 22, 1984. Clarice remained with the bank until she retired in 1997. On March 17, 1997, Clarice moved to Heritage Crossings in Geneva after a serious illness and health problems. Clarice was a member of the United Church of Christ in Clay Center, PEO Chapter T, PEO, American Legion Auxiliary, and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star, Republican Women, Daughter of the Nile, 8 and 40 and several bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank; one sister; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters; Linda Redline and Cheryl Rothrock; four grandsons; Christopher Redline and fiancée, Cheryl Swarts; Timothy and Hillarie Redline; Kevin and Trudy Rothrock; and Corey Rothrock and fiancée, Thalia Beningen; two great-grandchildren: Katy and Ticen Rothrock; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m., at the United Church of Christ in Clay Center with Pastor Jo Ackerman officiating. Special music was “How Great Thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset” by John Green, soloist, and Cheryl Green accompanist. Pallbearers were Timothy Redline, Kevin Rothrock, Christopher Redline, Cory Rothrock, Dave Bondegard, Steve Yost and Mike McLaughlin. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery in Geneva.
