Description	:	Clarice Babcock, age 88, of Wolsey, died Thursday, March 22nd at the Huron Nursing Home. Her funeral service was Monday, March 26th at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with the Rev. L. Scott Spiehs officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery at Wolsey. Read More	Clarice Babcock, age 88, of Wolsey, died Thursday, March 22nd at the Huron Nursing Home. Her funeral service was Monday, March 26th at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey with the Rev. L. Scott Spiehs officiating. Burial was in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery at Wolsey. Clarice M. Jungemann was born October 8, 1918, in Wolsey to Arnold H. and Clara (Scheibe) Jungemann. She attended school in Wolsey all twelve years. As a fourteen year old she began playing organ at churches in Wolsey and Virgil, traveling by horse and buggy to Virgil. On July 2, 1939, she married Gordon Babcock at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey. For a short time, they lived in Portland, Oregon during World War II, then returning to Wolsey where they resided during the rest of their married life. Clarice played organ at St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey for 60 plus years, taught Sunday school and was involved in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey where she was baptized and confirmed. Clarice was also active in the Senior Center at Wolsey. Over the years, she accompanied many youth at State Music contests and Walther League talent contests. She also worked as a cook at her brothers Richard and Milton's service station for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting making many things for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Clarice also baked and decorated many birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. Clarice was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon, on September 18, 2002; her parents, Arnold and Clara Jungemann; two brothers, Richard and Milton; and two sisters, Catherine and Joan. Blessed for having shared her life are her sons, Lyle (Janice) Babcock, of Wolsey, and Dean (Sandra) Babcock, of Mesa, Arizona; her daughter, Marcia (Larry) Johnson of Huron; eight grandchildren, James (Sherry) Babcock, Rachelle (Jeffrey) Keltgen, Shauna (Joel) Kemnitz, Dean T. (Lynnette) Babcock, Kimberly (Monte) Stonefield, Michael Johnson, Scott (Tammy) Johnson and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Johnson; nineteen great grandchildren, Jordan, Brittany, Breanna, Alex, Tyler, Austin Lee, Payton, Emily, Eric, Tanya, Michael Jr, Nathan, Nicholas, Nicole, Matthew, Amanda, Tyler, Thomas, and Jacob; one brother, David (Janice) Jungemann of Box Elder; and one brother-in-law, Clarence (Francis) Babcock of Bismarck, North Dakota.
