Clarine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Abbot Brian Wangler, OSB as the celebrant. Visitation will be on Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Clarine was born January 13, 1932, the daughter of Stephen and Julia (Lefor) Dassinger. She was raised in Gladstone, where she attended elementary school, then moved to Dickinson where she graduated from Dickinson High. Clarine worked at the Court House and First National Bank after graduation. She married Herbert Urlacher on November 16, 1953 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They moved to a farm south of New England, to a farm southeast of Taylor and then purchased the family farm in 1961 north of Taylor. They farmed and ranched together until their move to Dickinson in 2009. Clarine dedicated her time to serving her church and her family. Her days were filled with assisting on the farm and making sure meals were ready, either on the table or out in the wheat field. Clarine also loved the time she spent working as a church secretary at St. Mary’s Church in Richardton. She treasured the friendships made there and in the Richardton and Taylor communities. Mom lovingly and good naturedly spent many years supporting Dad during his time in the legislature. While she preferred to stay in the background, she was so proud of Dad and all they accomplished together as partners in life. Clarine was a founding member of the Catholic Daughter’s charter organization in Richardton, volunteered at St. Luke’s Nursing Home and Queen of Peace Church. Her children and grandchildren were blessed by her generous spirit, her support at games, concerts, plays and her loving gifts of chokecherry jelly, cookies and strudel. Mom, we will always treasure our memories of you, thinking of you doing your bookwork, watering your flowers, doing laundry and laughing on the phone with your friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Julia Dassinger, siblings and spouses, Ann (Pete) Willer, Sue (Joe) Thomas, Caroline (John) Schneider, and Tony Dassinger.
