Description	:	------------------------- Clara G. Kirk was born on April 23, 1836 in Lee County, Virginia and was married to John Pridemore on April 13,1854. To this union seven children were born, three daughters and four sons. In the spring of 1858 they moved to Illinois and in the fall of 1869 they removed again to Missouri, where they resided for a number of years. In the fall of 1889 they came to Nebraska and after one year went to Oklahoma to make their home and were residents there for a number of years. Kirk was born on April 23, 1836 in Lee County, Virginia and was married to John Pridemore on April 13,1854. To this union seven children were born, three daughters and four sons. In the spring of 1858 they moved to Illinois and in the fall of 1869 they removed again to Missouri, where they resided for a number of years. In the fall of 1889 they came to Nebraska and after one year went to Oklahoma to make their home and were residents there for a number of years. The family again returned to Missouri where they lived until the fall of 1903. They then returned to Nebraska and while visiting at the home of a granddaughter, Mr. Pridemore passed away on October 12, 1913. Following the death of her husband, Mrs. Pridemore established her residence at the home of her son, Andrew, northeast of Creighton, where she spent the remainder of her life. Death came to Mrs. Pridemore on Tuesday, February 27 at the age of 97 years, 10 months and 4 days. The deceased had always been active for a woman of her age until six years ago when she fell and fractured her hip and from the injury she had never fully recovered. Besides her husband, two sons, James and Timothy, two daughters, Lavinia and Drucilla and a granddaughter, Agnes Don, whom she reared from infancy to womanhood, preceded her in death. Relatives who survive are one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Donoho of Lucein, Oklahoma, two sons, Andrew and Martin of Norwood,Mo, 8 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 9 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon from the home of her son at one o'clock conducted by Rev. D.A. Niefert. The many friends in attendance at the obsequies attested the esteem she was held in by her every acquaintance in that community. Interment was made in Cedar Hill cemetery east of Bazile MIlls. Those from out of town in attendance at the last rites were: a granddaughter, Clara Smith of Long Pine, Nebr., a granddaughter, Clara Pancake and husband and a grandson, John Woods of Ainsworth, Nebr., a grandson, Sherman Woods and wife of Herrick, S.D., a great granddaughter, Mrs. Mildred Hatfield and husband of Plainview, a great grandson, Myron McClure, who made his home for two years at the A.J. Pridemore home and assisted in the care of his great grandmother and a son, A.J. Pridemore and wife. ...The Creighton News 8 March 1934 -------------------------
