Burial will be held later in the spring in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Bismarck. Mick was born July 17, 1948, in Minot, to Claude and Esther (Jungling) Streeper. He was raised and educated in Benedict and Ryder. He graduated from Ryder High School in 1966. The family moved to Bismarck, where he attended BSC, and later attended Minot State College. He served two years in the U.S. Army, being stationed at Fort Ord, Calif., Frankfurt, Germany, and Fort Riley, Kan. Mick married Marlene Barta in Bismarck on Sept. 1, 1973. They made their home in Bismarck. During that time he worked at North Dakota Concrete, then at Northern Water Works Supply for 18 years, and finally at Cedric Theel Inc., until his health forced him into early retirement. Mick was baptized and confirmed. His faith was very important to him, sustaining him in many times of stress. He was always smiling and ready with a bit of humor. Mick worked hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. His best memories were times spent with family, friends and co-workers, and he had the highest regard for the medics and kidney dialysis teams. Mick was an avid Atlanta Braves and Green Bay Packers fan. He followed both teams from a very early age. He also enjoyed the South Dakota Black Hills area, and many happy vacations were spent there. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marlene; two sons, Michael and Mark; his mother, Esther Streeper, all of Bismarck; his sister, Muriel (Ron) Peterson, Ryder; his grandson, Devon Streeper, Bismarck; his uncle, Eugene (Carmie) Streeper; his aunts, Mona Berke, Clara Wagner and Katie Jungling; his mother-in-law, Martha Barta; his sisters-in-law, Bernice (Alvin) Wanner and Kathy Morford; and his nieces, Rondi (Steve) Deaver, Kari (Scott) Mart, Kim Wanner and Kristy Morford. He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Streeper Sr.; and his father-in-law, Ludwig Barta.
