They were blessed with five children. Claudette worked as a legal secretary, retiring from Fitch Law Office in 2008. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, gardening, scrapbooking, and she loved to read. Claudette J. "Andy" Corkin, 79, of Dakota City, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 surrounded by her family. Left with memories are her children, Barbara Corkin and Carla Corkin of South Sioux City, NE, Brenda (Darrel) Schademan of St. Joseph, MO, Bill Corkin of Dakota City, NE and Robert (Diane) Corkin of Jackson, NE; 6 grandchildren, Justin, Danielle, Jordon, Cassondra, Dylan and Zoe; 8 great-grandchildren, Corby, Marcus, Marley, Hadley, Cavan, Jack, Vivian and Benjamin; and several nieces and nephews. Claudette was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Minnie Anderson; her husband, William Corkin in 2014; sisters, Phyllis Maloney and Anita Casey; and brothers, Arlen and Robert Anderson. Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson, NE with Father Michael Keating officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. with a scriptural wake service at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, NE.
