Carmel Medical Center following an automobile accident at 4:30 p.m. at U.S. 69 Highway and Country Club Road. Mrs. Pryor was born Aug. 10, 1909, in Labette County, KS, to Charles and Ethel Virginia O'Farrell Krause. She attended Fort Scott schools and graduated from Fort Scott High School. Read More	Claudia Arvilla Pryor Claudia Arvilla Pryor, 87, of 1907 N. Michigan St, died at 8:44 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 1997, in the emergency room of Mt. Carmel Medical Center following an automobile accident at 4:30 p.m. at U.S. 69 Highway and Country Club Road. Mrs. Pryor was born Aug. 10, 1909, in Labette County, KS, to Charles and Ethel Virginia O'Farrell Krause. She attended Fort Scott schools and graduated from Fort Scott High School. She lived in Coffeyville, KS for six years, Tulsa, OK for 14 years and Kansas City, KS., for two years. She then moved to Pittsburg, KS in 1960. She first married Dencil P.W. Jones on Jan. 19, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1950. She then married James Henry "Bus" Pryor in Bentonville, Ark. He preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 1986, in Pittsburg, KS. Mrs. Pryor worked as a nurse's aide at nearly all the nursing homes in the Pittsburg area. For the past seven years, she worked at the Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Frontenac, KS before her retirement in 1980. At her retirement, she received her 25-year nurse's aide service pin. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She also attended the Wesley House. Survivors include a son, Dencil J. Moorsette of Mulberry; a daughter, Margaret A. Pryor of 603 E. 21st St. and Johnnie Pryor, Sr., of 505 W. 9th St.; a step-daughter, Helen Fenoglio of Texas; 31 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, with the Rev. James Sukraw of the Nazarene Church officiating. Burial will be at the Mt. Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where they also may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday. The family will be at the home of Johnnie Pryor, Sr., 505 W. 9th St.
