She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Ossie; her parents, John and Lula Sears; son, Sammy, who was lost in an auto accident at age 4; grandson, Derek, also lost in an auto accident; and her sister, Virginia. Read More	The sun went down on the life of Claudie Bell Flowers, 94, about sunset on Saturday, Oct. 11, in Oklahoma City, Okla. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel Ossie; her parents, John and Lula Sears; son, Sammy, who was lost in an auto accident at age 4; grandson, Derek, also lost in an auto accident; and her sister, Virginia. Her legacy is in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who are all living their faith in Jesus Christ and are active in the Lord's church. She and Ossie Flowers were the proud parents of three living children, Peggie Potter and husband, Wesley of Houston, Texas, Lula Mae Tunstall and husband Frank of Oklahoma City and Danny Flowers and wife Diane, of Wadesboro; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at East Rockingham First Pentecostal Holiness Church. The funeral will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jon Potter and Dr. Frank Tunstall officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park. Claudie was a lifelong member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church located in East Rockingham, and a committed follower of Jesus Christ. In the last months of her life, the fond longing of her heart was to go to be with the Lord. She also wanted to be reunited with her many loved ones on the other side. When she could no longer lift her head, Lu heard her whispering "Hallelujah!" and calling the names of family members already across the river, whom she looked forward to seeing again. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord."- The Apostle Paul Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family of Mrs. Flowers.
