Description	:	Claus was born on a farm in the village of Hönau in the Bremervörde district of northern Germany. He was the 7th of 8 children born to Claus Sr. & Maria (Otten) Aldag. Two sisters and a brother had died before he was born. His father died in 1887. Claus came to the U.S. and Cass County, Iowa with his mother and two brothers ca: 1891. Two sisters had come earlier. Claus was just 22 years old when he died in 1895. Parents: Claus Aldag Sr. (19 July 1830--15 January 1887) Submitted by a family member.
