Henry Meier, who had been under restrain there as a patient since the death of his wife four years ago. The deceased was a native of Schlewig-Holstein, Germany and was 49 years 10 months and nine days of age at the time of his death. Henry Meier, who had been under restrain there as a patient since the death of his wife four years ago. The deceased was a native of Schlewig-Holstein, Germany and was 49 years 10 months and nine days of age at the time of his death. He came to this country in 1879 and direct to Davenport, where he resided until his committment. In 1881 the deceased was married to Miss Margaretha Sevelsen who died four years ago. Twelve children survive ranging in age from five to twenty two years of age. They are; Henry, Amanda, Clara, Maggie, Fritz, John, Julius, Dora, Emma, Rosie, Willie, and Caroline, all at home. A brother Louis Meier of Dixon and four sisters, Mrs. Sophia Wagner of Davenport, Mrs. Lena Schnede and Mrs. Wiebbe Kuehl of Clinton and Mrs. Lizzie Kuehl of Minn. also survives. The remains will be taken to Dixon, Iowa Thursday morning, where the interment will be made in the Dixon Cemetery in the afternoon. (Dixon cemetery indicates they have no such individual buried here. Family legend has it that he was supposed to be buried beside his wife in New Liberty, Iowa, but the snow was so bad when they were transporting his body to New Liberty, that they stopped on the way at the Dixon cemetery and he was buried there in an unmarked grave. Not certain where he is buried.)
