Burial was in the Ponca City Cemetery in Ponca, Nebraska. Clayton was born on April 24, 1927 in Ponca, Nebraska, the son of Archie and Helen (Iverson) Bottorff. He grew up in the Martinsburg area and graduated from Ponca High School. He married Velma on January 06, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Ponca area all their lives. Clayton was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ponca. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, playing cards and traveling. Survivors include his wife Velma; four sons, Ronnie, Douglas and his wife Sharol, Randall and his wife Jeannie, and Dwight (Dutch) and his wife, Sandy; three daughters, Cindy and her husband John, Sandy and her husband Kenneth, and Jeanne and her husband Kirk; twenty grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley and Maxine and her husband John; one sister-in-law, Leona; many nieces and nephews. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert and one brother-in-law, Francis Woodford.
