Description	:	Clayton L. Zemlicka, age 89, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his residence. Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg with Father Ken Koster officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Kranzburg. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Watertown, SD. Zemlicka, age 89, of Watertown, SD, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his residence. Clayton Leslie Zemlicka was born on May 17, 1927 to Tofield and Ida (Selchert) Zemlicka in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up on a farm four miles north of Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School in 1945. Clayton was drafted into the United States Army on January 12, 1951 and served until his honorable discharge on January 11, 1953. He married Loretta M. Raml on October 24, 1953 in Kranzburg, South Dakota and the couple farmed north of Waverly where he has continued farming since then. He also did custom combining for many years in Kansas and Oklahoma, and did custom rock picking and snow blowing. Clayton could fix or build anything, mechanical or carpentry and had built his house and all the outbuildings. He enjoyed helping others in the area with their projects, collecting tractors, particularly Case tractors, and going to auction sales. He served on the Waverly Township Board and Waverly School Board. Clayton is survived by his children, Mark (Terri) Zemlicka of Twin Brooks, SD, Leon (Jennifer) Zemlicka of Longmont, CO, and Jane (Jeff) Hanten of Eagle Lake, MN, and Gene (Stacy) Zemlicka of Hutchinson, MN; a son-in-law, Francis Brandenburger of Nassau, MN; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Wilma Zemlicka and Shirley Zemlicka of Watertown, SD; one brother-in-law, Melvin Platt of Sioux Falls, SD; Clayton's special friend, Ardis Brehmer of Ortonville, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death are his grandparents; his parents; his wife, Loretta on August 9, 1987; his daughter, Cleo Brandenburger on September 11, 2013; an infant brother, Delwyn and brothers, Harley and Dale; his brothers-in-law, Andrew (Ramona) Raml, and Joe Raml; and his sisters-in-law, Mary (A.J.)
