Born on October 2, 1922 in Mathias, WV, he was the son of the late Oliver Jehu and Bliss Elizabeth (Miller) Rittenour. Cleal was a farmer for 60 years, raising chickens, sheep, cattle and turkeys. Born on October 2, 1922 in Mathias, WV, he was the son of the late Oliver Jehu and Bliss Elizabeth (Miller) Rittenour. Cleal was a farmer for 60 years, raising chickens, sheep, cattle and turkeys. He was a member of the Rio Ebenezer Lutheran Church, attended the Cullers Run School for 8 years, a member of the North River Valley Volunteer Fire Company, a member of the Rio-Delray Ruritan Club where he served as officers in both organization. He was preceded in death by his wife Marget Leona (See) Rittenour on April 17, 2005, also preceded by a sister Loretta Ready, 2 brothers, Garland Rittenour and Alton Blaine Rittenour. He is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra Virginia Fitzwater of Rio, WV, Elizabeth Ann Webster of Mathias, WV, 2 sisters, Hazel Mongold, New Market, VA, Della Miller of Mathias, WV, a brother, William O. Rittenour of Sacramento, CA, 4 grandchildren, Virginia Ann Combs and husband Jay of Rio, WV, Ralph Fitzwater Jr. and fiancé Julie Racey of Rio, WV, Anne Marie Webster and Mary Elizabeth Webster both of Mathias, WV, 3 great-grandchildren, Shawna Lee Fitzwater, Ronald James Fitzwater and Sierra Grace Combs. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday May 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Rio Ebenezer Lutheran Church with Pastor David Twedt officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mathias, WV. The family will receive friends on Saturday 2-4 & 7-9 at the McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV. Memorials may be made to the Rio Ebenezer Lutheran Church, Rio, WV or the North River Valley Volunteer Fire Co. Rio, WV. All arrangements are being handled by McKee Funeral Home, Baker, WV.
