Description	:	Clem John Seivert, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on June 19, 2011. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger, with burial to follow at Beaver Catholic Cemetery. Clem was born on October 15, 1939, in Scranton, IA, to Clem G. and Beth (Slikkaveer) Seivert and raised in rural Granger. He service in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. Read More	Clem John Seivert, 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on June 19, 2011. Clem was born on October 15, 1939, in Scranton, IA, to Clem G. and Beth (Slikkaveer) Seivert and raised in rural Granger. He service in the U.S. Army from 1958-1960. Clem married Janice (Schulte) Seivert on October 27, 1962. Clem worked for Dale Lint Plumbing and Heating; and after 1969, he was an owner-operator of Sweeney-Manning-Seivert Mechanical Contractors. Clem was a lifelong member of Assumption Catholic Church. He enjoyed restoring Farmall tractors and stressed the importance of learning to work with your hands. He spent hours in his shop fixing and building, often with his kids and grandkids at his side. Clem could be heard saying, "There's nothing that can't be fixed." He will be missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Janice; children Mark (Melissa) Seivert, Kris (Shaun) Magill, Kari Seivert, Kimberly (Cory) Proctor; nine grandchildren; sisters, Mick Tiernan, Jackie Schram, and Jeri Horton. Clem was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Beth Seivert; sister Gwen Nixon; and brother, Max (Shorty) Seivert. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary Service at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at Assumption Catholic Church in Granger. In lieu of flowers, memorials amy be made to Assumption Catholic Church.
