Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Josaphats Catholic Church in Loup City. The Rev. Marty Egging will officiate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City with graveside military honors by American Legion Post No. 48 of Loup City. Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Mr. Mostek was born on Dec. 25, 1920, on the family farm east of Loup City, the son of Michael and Teckla (Kosmicki) Mostek. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane Tuma. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Alta Mostek of Loup City; four sons, David Mostek and his fiancée, Kim Patrick of Fremont, Michael Mostek of Kearney, Andrew Mostek of Loup City and Patrick Mostek and his wife, Amy of Elm Creek. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Ellen Mostek of Loup City. Clemence grew up on the family farm and attended the Pershing Dist. No 61 Sherman county rural school. He then worked in the CCC camp at Broken Bow from July 1937 to April 1939. After that he moved to Englewood, Calif. where he worked in an airplane factory for one year. He served in the United States Army from June 1944 to July 1946, during World War II. Upon his discharge, he returned to the Loup City area to farm. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Alta Waskowiak on Febr. 16, 1953, at the St. Josaphats Catholic Church in Loup City. The couple lived and farmed east of Loup City their entire married lives. He was a member of St. Josaphats Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council No. 5848 and American Legion Post No. 48, all of Loup City. He enjoyed history, story telling, visiting with family and friends, playing cards, listening to polka music and going for rides. In addition to his daughter, Diane, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Melvin Mostek; an infant sister, Geraldine Mostek and a sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Gilbert Lewandowski.
