He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Vehige nee Stahlschmidt; parents: Henry and Cecilia Vehige nee Burkemper; daughter, Ann Vehige; great-granddaughter, Makayla Vehige; brothers, Leander, Alphonse and Albert Vehige; sisters, Helen Halter and Marie Schneider; son-in-law, Dave Feldmann and brother-in-law, Stanley Routon. In his early years, he was active in farming and raising livestock. In the early 50's, Clem started his own business, The Vehige Farm Store, which is still family owned, operated and thriving today. Clem was the president of Mid America Raceways, a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Wentzville and a founding member of the Pioneer Trail and Tree Coon Club, as he enjoyed coon, duck and quail hunting. Clem was a loving father of 14 children and cherished grandfather of 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
