Description	:	Clemens Huber, 79, of Bismarck died on Dec. 28, 2005, at home under Hospice care and surrounded by family. Clemens was born on July 8, 1926, in Emmons County to George J. and Elizabeth (Bernhardt) Huber. He attended grade school at Marie School for seven years, high school at Napoleon High School two years and graduated from Linton Public High School in 1943. Clemens was born on July 8, 1926, in Emmons County to George J. and Elizabeth (Bernhardt) Huber. He attended grade school at Marie School for seven years, high school at Napoleon High School two years and graduated from Linton Public High School in 1943. He married Anne Splonskowski on June 10, 1948. Clemens and Anne had eight children. Anne died in 1979. On Sept. 12, 1980, Clemens married Catherine Vetter. They farmed at Kintyre until 1989 when they moved to Bismarck. Clemens taught Country School in the 40's. He was a member of St. Michaels Church, taught CCD, served as Chairman on the Parish Council, served on the education committee and was a church trustee. He was a director on the Kem Electric Board and the Napoleon Farmers Union Elevator, served as Chairman of the School District Reorganization Committee, when at the time most of the school districts in Emmons County were reorganized, secretary for the SW Trailblazers Good Sam Club, served on the Legislative Committee on Farm Credit and the Dioceason Pastoral Council. Clemens and his wife, Anne, received the North Dakota Soil Conservation Agriculturist award from NDSU, and KC family of the year. He was active in Farm Organizations, belonging to Farmers Union and President of the West District National Farmers Organization. Following retirement, Clemens and Catherine owned a motor home, did some traveling, belonged to the Good Sam Club, belonged to a bible study group, loved reading, playing cards and visiting. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Clemens is survived by his wife, Catherine, of 25 years, five sons and six daughters-in-law, Charles (Pat), Kenneth (Betty) Bismarck, Dennis (Colleen) Fargo, Marvin (Leona) Strasburg, Gerald (Kathy) Ham Lake, Minn., Linda Huber, Des Moines, Iowa. He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth (Clarence) Vetter, Kindred, Janice (Michael) Keeley, Coppell, Texas, and Cynthia (Randy) Weigel, Kintyre, 36 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Clemens is also survived by his three brothers, Anton (Eva) Bismarck, Frank (Joan) and Leonard (Sharon) Seattle Wash., one sister, Angeline (Jay) Schatz, Lodi, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anne, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Valentine (Rose) and George (Frances) Huber. Mass of Christian burial was held Jan. 2, 2006, at The Church of Ascension, Bismarck, with Rev. Tom Richter officiating and Rev. Marvin Klemmer as concelebrant. Burial was at St. Michaels cemetery, rural Linton, at 3:00 p.m., Jan. 2 under the direction of Bismarck Funeral Home, Bismarck. Emmons County Record
