Description	:	Cleo Melvin Hyslop, son of Ora Franklin and Elisabeth (sic) Royal Hyslop, was born on a farm near Douglas, Nebraska, January 20, 1920. Read More	Cleo Melvin Hyslop, son of Ora Franklin and Elisabeth (sic) Royal Hyslop, was born on a farm near Douglas, Nebraska, January 20, 1920. He passed away at his farm home while tending to the needs of the livestock November 28, 1983, at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 8 days. Cleo attended Country School and Douglas High School. He was a life-time member of the Methodist Church. He served his country during World War II with the United States Army. Cleo spent his entire life in the Douglas, Palmyra and Guide Rock vicinities (sic). April 2, 1949, in Lincoln, he was married to F. June Hadley. Cleo and June spent the past 28 years on a farm near Mt. Clare. His farming and livestock were a very important part of his life. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his faithful wife, June, and a brother, Joy of Bennett. Funeral services were held Friday, December 2, at 10 a.m. from the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson. Rev. Paul Samuelson officiated with Myrtle Worley, organist, playing "The Old Rugged Cross". Casketbearers were Bob Strnad, Alfred Miller, Ervin Kimminau, Richard Kimminau, Clarence Kimminau and Virgil Kimminau. Burial was in the Rosehill Cemetery in Douglas, Nebraska.
