Description	:	Former Holstein resident Cleon Lower, 93, of Tabitha Health Care of Lincoln died Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at the home. Services are Saturday at St Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein with the Rev Gregory Brown officiating. Burial will be in St Paul Lutheran churchyard cemetery at Holstein. Mr Lower was born July 9, 1904 to James Daniel and Gertrude (Poore) Lower in Norman. He married Esther Bierow at St Paul Lutheran Church. Services are Saturday at St Paul Lutheran Church in Holstein with the Rev Gregory Brown officiating. Burial will be in St Paul Lutheran churchyard cemetery at Holstein. Mr Lower was born July 9, 1904 to James Daniel and Gertrude (Poore) Lower in Norman. He married Esther Bierow at St Paul Lutheran Church. He farmed in the Holstein area until 1935, then moved to California and Twin Falls, Idaho, where he worked for Garrett Freightlines. He and his wife moved to Weiser, Idaho, where he farmed with his brother-in-law for two years. The couple then moved back to Holstein in 1948. He worked for the Adams County Department of Roads until his retirement in December 1968. He and his wife moved to Lincoln in 1982. She died July 10, 1985. He moved to Tabitha in 1988. Survivors are one daughter, Carol A McLean of Lincoln; one son Dennis L of Greeley, Colo and four grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his son, Merlin Dean and three brothers. Brand-Wilson Funeral Home of Kenesaw is in charge of arrangements.
