Description	:	PYLESVILLE, MD Cletus N. 'Flop' Heaps, 71, died at 1:43 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Md. He was the husband of Shir ley I. (Windon) Heaps, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage with on December 17, 2006. He was born on May 21, 1935, in Pylesville, Md., a son of the late Raymond W. and Mae A. (Fletcher) Heaps. Read More	PYLESVILLE, MD Cletus N. 'Flop' Heaps, 71, died at 1:43 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Md. He was the husband of Shir ley I. (Windon) Heaps, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage with on December 17, 2006. He was born on May 21, 1935, in Pylesville, Md., a son of the late Raymond W. and Mae A. (Fletcher) Heaps. He attended Carea School, a one room school house. Mr. Heaps worked for the Harford County Dept. of Public Works and was a past president of Local 1802, Harford County Dept. of Public Works. He was a charter member and chief engineer of the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company. He was inducted into the HarfordCecil Volunteer Fire Association Hall of Fame in 1999. He was a past director of the Citizens Volunteer Fire Company of Fawn Grove. He was known as 'Flop' by those who knew and loved him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Debbie S. Taylor and her husband, Treverton, Jr., of Fawn Grove, Diana I. Raspe and her husband, John of Dublin, Md., Sherry L. Rhode and her husband, Dan of New Park, and Sandra K. Webb and her husband, Kirk of Fawn Grove; one son, John K. Heaps of Pylesville, Md.; seven grandchildren, Mandy I. Ingram and her husband, Randy, Christina K. Webb, PFC Daniel H. Rhode, Jr., serving in Baghdad, Iraq, Sarah E. Taylor, Jenny R. Taylor, Stephen T. Baker, III, and Lynsey R. Rhode; one great-granddaughter, Kayla E. Ingram; one brother, William L. Heaps of Pylesville, Md.; and two sisters, Evelyn J. Almoney of Delta, and Elsie L. Heaps of Forest Hill, Md. He was preceded in death by a daugther, Norma Jean Heaps. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Pylesville, Md. Published in the York Daily Record & York Dispatch on 3/30/2007.
