Wayne Brinkman officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Calamus. Mr. Lahann was born Dec 18, 1924 in Calamus to Otto and Marian Vetter Lahann. He married Arlene Carol Rickert, Dec 28, 1947, in Clinton. He attended Calamus schools and was a 1943 graduate of Calamus High School. He attended Iowa State University Extension Program for two years and had been a Clinton resident for the past 32 years. He farmed for nine years in Clinton County, had worked at Clinton Corn Processing Company for 20 years and for the past five years had worked for USI Chemical Company. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the Philippine Islands as a technician in the 33rd Field Artillery Battalion. Mr. Lahann was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Senate, serving as Sunday School instructor and was a member of the Stewardship Committee for many years at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 190 and Eagle Point Nature Society. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Jane Lahann of Cherokee, Iowa, and Mrs. Donald (Joy) Horst of Clinton; a son, Jon C of Arden Hills, Minn.; a granddaughter, a sister Mrs. Irvin (Margaret) Wuestenberg, of Donahue, Iowa; and a brother, Sherwood O., of Wheatland.
