Description	:	Clifford was born in Espanola, WA, October 10, 1923, and died at home in Sultan, WA, March 30, 2009. Cliff lived in Snohomish County for most of his 85 years. In 1943, at the age of 19, Cliff entered the Army Air Force and in 1964 retired after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. During his military career Cliff was awarded several honors including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters. After retiring from the Air Force he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic... Read More	Clifford was born in Espanola, WA, October 10, 1923, and died at home in Sultan, WA, March 30, 2009. Cliff lived in Snohomish County for most of his 85 years. In 1943, at the age of 19, Cliff entered the Army Air Force and in 1964 retired after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. During his military career Cliff was awarded several honors including the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters. After retiring from the Air Force he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in the Snohomish County area for many years. Cliff was a genuine outdoorsman. He enjoyed gardening, hiking, fishing, clamming, crabbing, and mushrooming. His cribbage board was always on the table for family and friends to challenge him to a game or two, (he usually won). Cliff was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy J. Richer (Crandall); infant son, Douglas; parents, Bill and Eva Richer; and brothers, Kenneth and Glen Richer. He leaves children, Ginger (Mark) Metz, Lorrie (Bob) Ward, and Bill (Gail) Richer; grandchildren, Dru, Marcy, Angie, Courtney, Meghan, Kim and Britney. Cliff also leaves three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Taylor and Mason; and extended family, nephew, Duane Richer; niece, Glenda Gross; and Kalvin Hamlin. At Cliff's request, no services will be held.
