Description	:	Clifford Calvin Wieczorek was born June 8, 1927 at Mt. Vernon, SD to Herman and Anna (Heckel) Wieczorek. He grew up on a farm southeast of Mt. Vernon, attended a country school, Baker 42, his elementary years, except for one year in Long Beach, Calif. He attended high school in Le Mars, Iowa, completing his requirements several months early to get back to South Dakota to farm. On December 15, 1946, he married Mava Taplin at Mitchell, SD. Read More	Clifford Calvin Wieczorek was born June 8, 1927 at Mt. Vernon, SD to Herman and Anna (Heckel) Wieczorek. He grew up on a farm southeast of Mt. Vernon, attended a country school, Baker 42, his elementary years, except for one year in Long Beach, Calif. He attended high school in Le Mars, Iowa, completing his requirements several months early to get back to South Dakota to farm. On December 15, 1946, he married Mava Taplin at Mitchell, SD. They raised five children together on their farm southwest of Mitchell. They were entrepreneurs in the poultry and swine industries in the 1960s through the 1980s. They led by example and taught their children to work as a team, to persevere and never give up, to be dependable, and to love God & others. When they moved off the farm, they started Davison Feed Supply, a retail feed business in Mitchell, where they built a strong customer base providing livestock products during the 1980s & early 1990s. Cliff earned several awards for outstanding leadership & growth in sales during those years. Cliff had a strong faith in God. He lived his life trusting and depending on God. He lived with purpose and believed he was a caretaker of what God had entrusted to him. He put his whole heart into farming, knowing it was God who blessed him with a plentiful harvest. He was dedicated to God, which was reflected in his faithful attendance & involvement in church activities. He was quiet & humble and never wanted attention. Yet, he made people feel loved & comfortable, mingling & joking with them on the sidelines. Cliff loved gospel music, had a rich bass voice & loved to harmonize. Cliff and Mava gave their children and grandchildren a rich heritage: their love for God, their love for people, their love of music, their strong work ethic and their generosity. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mava, his parents, Herman & Anna Wieczorek, his step mother, Katie Wieczorek, his brother, Norman Wieczorek, his sister and her husband, Helen & Albert Wegehaupt, and three older siblings who died at a young age.
