Description	:	Funeral services for Clifford J. Hale, 86, were held on March 4, 1991 at the Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton with Rev. Gary Aten officiating. Music was provided by Virginia Von Seggern, pianist, who accompanied Burnell Von Seggern and Dennis Von Seggern. They sang "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art". Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Pallbearers were Brad Hale, Dean Vesely, Tom Grosserode, Orville Lage, Leland Beckner and Howard Johnson. Clifford J. Hale was born July 4, 1904 at Craig to Stephen and Lottie Hale and died March 1, 1991. He had been a resident of the Alpine Nursing Home for the past 21 days. He attended eight years of grade school in the Randolph area and then four years at Wayne State Normal College. On June 9, 1926 he married Lydia Vonasek at O'Neill. For 14 years they farmed in the Wayne, Knox and Antelope Counties and in 1940 the family moved to Montana where Clifford farmed and worked at a saw mill. In 1950 the family moved to Knox County and later to Wayne. In 1972 they retired and moved to Verdigre. Survivors include his wife, Lydia; children, Mrs. Earl (Darlene) Winner of Missoula, MT. Gerald of Carroll, and Mrs. Marvin (Winona) Kreycik of Verdigre; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; a sister, Marilla Beckner; and nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; two grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Walt (Ruby) Lage. Creighton News
