Casketbearers will be Rush Huston, Andrew Hansen, Thomas H Hatmaker, V. Blevins, C. Jules Boll and Fred Rummel. C. J. Rairdon died suddenly Monday from a heart attack at Long Beach, California. He and Mrs. Rairdon had only left Wenatchee two weeks ago. He was born June 2, 1878, at DeGraff, Ohio, where he grew to manhood and enlisted in the Spanish-American war. Upon his discharge, he came to Lake Wenatchee, where he homesteaded in 1901, later moving to Leavenworth. Mr. Rairdon and Stella Jane Blankenship were married October 3, 1909. He was employed by the Great Northern Railway and when the terminal was moved to Wenatchee in 1922 he came here, retiring June 16, 1944. Mr. Rairdon was a member and past commander of John Stotzenberg Camp of the United Spanish War veterans of Wenatchee, a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Modern Woodmen. Surviving are his widow; four sons, Clifford, Howard, Stanley, and Donald Rairdon, all of Wenatchee; one daughter, Mrs. Norman Coon of Wenatchee; four brothers, Charles and Sherman Rairdon, both of Toledo, Ohio, and Huber and Barton Rairdon, both of DeGraff, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Jay Shawver of Marion Ohio, and Mrs. Howard Gist of DeGraff, Ohio, and seven grandchildren. The body was received this morning from Long Beach.
