Description	:	Shelbina Democrat, Shelbina, Shelby, Missouri, May 3, 2011 Clifford L. "C.L." Taylor, known as C.L. Taylor, died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 in his home. C.L. was the son of Clifford Lee Taylor and Myrtle Lee (Tingle) Taylor. He had lived all his life on this farm that his great-grandfather acquired in 1850. He was very proud that he still lived on the Taylor Centennial Farm. His grandfather and father were also born on this century old farm. Read More	Shelbina Democrat, Shelbina, Shelby, Missouri, May 3, 2011 Clifford L. "C.L." Taylor, known as C.L. Taylor, died Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 in his home. C.L. was the son of Clifford Lee Taylor and Myrtle Lee (Tingle) Taylor. He had lived all his life on this farm that his great-grandfather acquired in 1850. He was very proud that he still lived on the Taylor Centennial Farm. His grandfather and father were also born on this century old farm. Sadly, a fire destroyed the family homestead on April 10, 2006 C.L. graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1949. He had been a long time member of the rural Bethany Methodist Church northeast of Shelbyville until the church dissolved. He was a tiller of the soil and liked every aspect of agriculture and drove a tractor from a very young age. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, a special uncle Danny Taylor and his brother-in-law, Leroy Youell. He is survived by his sister: Doris Lee Youell; one niece: Sharon Youell Morrison and her husband George; one great-nephew: Landon Youell Morrison; one great-niece: Sheree D. Morrison, all of Bowen, IL; and a first cousin: Gail Taylor Canavan of Quincy, IL. Abiding by the request of the deceased, no formal services were held. Graveside services were conducted by Charles Vannoy, lay speaker and friend on Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Shelby Memorial Cemetery in Shelbyville, MO. Memorials may be given to the Northeast Missouri Humane Society, Hannibal, MO or Northeast Missouri Chapter of the American Red Cross, Hannibal, MO who helped him at the time of his fire.
