Description	:	McMahan, Clifford S. Jr. of Pinconning, Michigan. Clifford passed away early on the morning of Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Cartwright Residence in Saginaw. He was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1924 to Clifford Sr. and Dora McMahan. He lived in various places during his life, however spent most of his life in Pinconning. Clifford passed away early on the morning of Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Cartwright Residence in Saginaw. He was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1924 to Clifford Sr. and Dora McMahan. He lived in various places during his life, however spent most of his life in Pinconning. He worked on his family's farm before joining the U.S. Army during WWII and was a paratrooper serving in the Pacific Theater. Cliff had a variety of occupations throughout his life, some of which were baker, real estate agent, business owner, but probably the most important job was at the International Harvester business where he met his future wife, Priscilla Heppner. Cliff and Priscilla were married on December 16, 1947 in Kawkawlin at the home of the bride's grandmother. Cliff was a member of the River of Life Church in Pinconning and of the American Legion in Standish. Surviving Cliff besides his wife of 62 years are two children: Robin Weiss, Pinconning and Brian (Linda) McMahan of Hemlock; four grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Erin (Christopher) Marks of Saginaw, Dustin Weiss of Pinconning, Jeffrey (Nichole) of Ann Arbor and Lindsay McMahan of Hemlock; also great-grandaughter Chloe of Ann Arbor and two more great-grandchildren expected later this year. Also surviving Cliff are two brothers, Gerald (Dorothy) McMahan of Alma and Richard (Beatrice) of Georgia; and sister-in-law Rita McMahan of Washington State. Clifford's brother, Darrell McMahan passed away earlier this year. Clifford was a kind and very caring person. He was always helping someone. He often said, "we are blessed to help other people." Funeral service was held Thursday, July 19, 2011 from the Pinconning United Methodist Church. Military honors were held at the church under the auspices of the American Legion Post 104 and the Standish VFW Post. Internment was at Floral Gardens Cemetery in Bay City. Published in Bay City Times on July 17, 2011.
