He was born at Chester, the son of Harry St.Clair and Bessie M. (Graves) Bond. He was a long-time member and volunteer of the Royal Canadian Legion, F.E. Butler Branch No. 44, Chester. For many years, he was a member of Chester Golf Club and also the Captain Kidd Rod and Gun Club, East Chester. Throughout the years, Clinton worked hard at several different trades, some of which included carpentry, landscaping, farming, and forestry. He loved to go on fishing and hunting trips and he enjoyed truck driving and picking tobacco in summer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Clinton is survived by his wife, Esther; sons, Kenneth, Tony (Wendy N.), Wendell (Wendy C.); and Christopher; grandchildren, Alishea, Andrea, and Timothy Bond, Stacy Mandzuk, Kathleen Cook, Holly and Tyler Nickerson; brothers, Raymond, John, Basil (Joy), Frederick "Mickey" (Jean), Gerald "Snooky", all of Chester; sister, Rose Fox, Thornhill, Ontario; and beloved as a sister, Gloria (Abe) Younis, Mahone Bay. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Connie Stevens; brothers, Harry, Eric, Lionel, James; son, Barry L.; and great-grandson, Jacob Aylward-Bond. There will be visitation 7-9 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, Chester. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, in St. Stephen's Anglican Church with Rev. Father James McCorriston officiating. Interment will follow in Bayview Cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. With thanks to Rosemary Rafuse.
