Description	:	Clint Bortnem was born on November 23, 1922 in Lake County, South Dakota, the son of Oscar and Emma Bortnem. He died on Friday, September 8, 2006, at the age of 83. Clint was united in marriage to Sadie on February 27, 1951. He served in the United States Army during WWII. After serving in the military he moved to Detroit, MI to learn the plastering trade. Read More	Clint Bortnem was born on November 23, 1922 in Lake County, South Dakota, the son of Oscar and Emma Bortnem. He died on Friday, September 8, 2006, at the age of 83. Clint was united in marriage to Sadie on February 27, 1951. He served in the United States Army during WWII. After serving in the military he moved to Detroit, MI to learn the plastering trade. Clint loved to read and study the Bible as well as spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Sadie; his two children James (Beth) Bortnem, Joan Bortnem; two grandchildren Jennifer (Eric) Bortnem - Risty and Travis Bortnem; three great grandchildren Aislynn, Simon and Tyjion, and one great step-great granddaughter Melissa; two sisters Laurine Yates of Mobridge, SD, Fern Cofield of Apple Valley, MN; one brother-in-law David (Earleen) Berge of Brookings, SD and several nieces and nephews. Clint was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Robert, Burdette and Lloyd, and three sisters Miriam, Violet and Ethel. His greatest joy was the personal relationship he had with the Lord Jesus Christ and wanted all to come to the knowledge and acceptance of Gods saving grace. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Interment: Greenwood Cemetery Brookings, SD Arrangements by Rude's Funeral Home Brookings, SD.
