Mr. McCrackin was born in Cool Springs, a son of the late William Walker and Mazie Carroll McCrackin . He was a member of Homewood Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, he was employed by International Paper for 35 years as a Master Craftsman, and was a commercial farmer. Pleasant, Marilyn Estelle Brigman and her husband, J.W., of Georgetown, and Shirley Faye Pinner and her husband, Bob, of Charlotte, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Wendy Butler, Hunter Evans, Chett Long, Sydonie Bailey, Gretchen Ousley, Kylie Cribb, and Yolanda Barnes; seven great-grandchildren, Evan Price, Katelyn Cribb, Pressley Cribb, Cohen Ousley, Ava Ousley, Tab Butler, and Gracelynn Long; and two sisters, Maydelle Johnson of Georgetown, and Mazie Pehl of Charlotte, N.C. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Homewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Spivey and the Rev. Danny McClellen officiating. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
