Clinton Orville Mock, the son of Harvey and Lenora May (Beeson) Mock, was born on July 7, 1928, near Tilden. He grew up in the Tilden area, living north for a period of time and then moved southwest in the Closter area where he received his education through the 10th grade. Read More	ALBION — Clinton Mock, 82, of Albion died Friday, April 8, 2011, at the Friendship Villa in Spalding. Clinton Orville Mock, the son of Harvey and Lenora May (Beeson) Mock, was born on July 7, 1928, near Tilden. He grew up in the Tilden area, living north for a period of time and then moved southwest in the Closter area where he received his education through the 10th grade. He received his GED at a later time. Clinton worked as a farmhand in addition to working for his father. He also worked construction for a short time. Clinton entered the United States Army in January of 1951 and was honorably discharged in April of 1957. On June 20, 1956, Clinton was united in marriage to Inez E. Shaver at the Zion Lutheran Church (North Branch) east of Petersburg. The couple lived and farmed in the St. Edward area where they attended the St. Edward Methodist Church, until 1960 when they moved to Akron area and eventually to a farm west of Loretto. They attended the Akron Presbyterian Church and the Loretto Methodist Church respectively. In addition to farming, Clinton drove a milk truck for Darwin Clark for several years. Clinton was a member of VFW Post 736 and post commander in 1972-1973, served over 25 years on the Boone County Fair Board, served on the school board of District 89 and served as county commissioner from 1979 through 1983. Surviving Clinton are his four children, Noel Noble and husband Larry of Albion, Mavis Pfeifer of Holdrege, Neal Mock and wife Cindy of Albion, Janelle Kallhoff and husband Kelly of Clearwater; five grandchildren: Jennifer Debus, Christine Bursaw and husband Mike, Lance Baum, Kyle and Brian Mock; six great-grandchildren Janaya, Josie and Jonathan Debus; Samantha, Patrick, and Lillian Bursaw; one brother, LeRoy Mock and wife Evelyn of Tilden; one sister, Leona Brozek of Oakdale; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Inez, his stepfather Paul Reznick, a brother Harold, a brother-in-law Carl Brozek, and one granddaughter Baylie Baum.
