Lacey Clovice "Faye" Krick Aug. 17, 1909 Dec. 23, 1998 Ida Grove Cemeter ------------ IDA GROVE, Iowa - Clovice Faye Lacey, 89, of Des Moines, formerly of Ida Grove, died Wednesday, Dec, 23, 1998, at Riverview Care Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Ida Grove, with the Rev. Marvin Lindley officiating. Burial will be in Ida Grove Cemetery. ve. Mrs. Lacey was born Aug. 17, 1909, the daughter of Ward and Pearl (Taylor) Krick. She was raised in Ida County and graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1928. She taught at several rural schools in Ida County. She married Vance Lacey on June 10, 1933. The couple farmed ear Danbury, Iowa until his death in 1946. She then moved into Ida Grove. She was employed with Dreier's Bakery for several years and decorated wedding cakes at her home. She moved to Riverview Care Center in 1992. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Horn Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include a daughter and her husband, LaDonna and Judson Johnston of Ankeny, Iowa; a son and his wife, Royce and Pauline of Austin, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Carol Lacey of Danbury; seven grandchildren, Brent Johnston, Rodney, Alan, Eric and Matt Lacey, Sharalynn Clemens and Teresa Kobriger; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Hazlitt of Olympis, Wash.; two sisters-in-law, Garnet Lacey of Danbury and Clara Lacey of Ankeny; and two brothers-in-law and their wives, Galen and Odelia Lacey of Chatfield, Minn., and Garth and Doris Lacey of Danbury. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Darnell; two sisters, Clarice Fern, her twin, and Rosalie Walker; and a brother, Dale Krick. Pallbearers will be Jeff Clemens, Brent Kobriger, Alan, Eric, Matt and Rodney Lacey and Brent Johnston.
