The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Ridge Spring Baptist Church, with the Revs. Allan Woodward and Rufus Chaneyworth officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Spring Cemetery. Burial will be in Ridge Spring Cemetery. A native of Fairfax, Mr. Cone was a son of the late Dallas S. and Ada Deer Cone. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He owned and operated Cone's Grocery. He was founder of Cone's Meats and Farms Inc. He was inducted into Who's Who in South Carolina Business in 1977. He was a member of the American Legion and the S.C. Meat Association. He was a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Men's Fellowship Bible class. Survivors include his widow, Dorothy Platts Cone, Ridge Spring; a son, Clyde R. (Bobby) Cone, Leesville; two daughters, Louise Christie, Kirkwood, N.Y., and Libby C. Bostian, Leesville; two brothers, D.S. Cone Jr., Ridge Spring and Lee Roy Cone, Batesburg; a sister, Mildred C. Bomar, Ridge Spring; and nine grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Eddie Platts, Tommy Platts, David Platts, Dallas S. Cone III, Jone Cone and Todd Bostian. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Ridge Spring First Baptist Church adult men's class, No. 3; and Robert S. (Bob) Householder, A.G. Rutland and Brodus Smith. Memorials may be made to the church building fund.
