Mr. Rowe was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church and retired as an engineering technician from Potomac Edison in Luray on March 1, 1980, after 38 years of service. He was born on Feb. 21, 1920, in Luray and was a son of the late Clifton M. and Jennie Bell Griffith Rowe. Mr. Rowe was a member of the Beth Eden Lutheran Church and retired as an engineering technician from Potomac Edison in Luray on March 1, 1980, after 38 years of service. Mr. Rowe was an Army Veteran of World War II, having served in the Southweat Pacific. He was a member of the VFW Comer-Jones Post 621 and the American Legion Post 22. On March 27, 1948, he married the former Gladys Marie Beylor, who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Patti Burner of Luray; a son Dwight Edward 'Ikey' Rowe of Front Royal; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by five brothers, J. William, Robert C., D. Franklin, Basil R. and Earl C. Rowe and seven sisters, Daisy Pearl Miller, Nellie A. Miller, E. Geneva Housden, Gertrude V. Jonaes, Leola M. Wilt, Lottie E. Platz and Elva Mary Bradford. Graveside service at the Beahm's Chapel Cemetery in Luray by the Rev. James R. Daley with military honors by the VFW Post 621.
