His funeral will be Thursday, March 9, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Redfield. Reverend Stephen Perry will officiate. Burial will be in the Tulare Cemetery near Tulare, S.D. Clyde Edwin Josewski was born at Tulare S.D., to Edwin and Laura (Landreth) Josewski on Feb. 29, 1924. He attended grade school and one year of high school in Tulare before moving with his family to Cayuga, N.D. He graduated from high school at Foreman, N.D. On April 19, 1948, he married Betty Yager at Aberdeen S.D. They were blessed with a daughter, Barbara Ann. Clyde farmed for 32 years on the same farm just north of Tulare. After moving to Redfield he was employed by the Spink County Highway Department for six years. Upon retirement he and Betty spent the next ten years as snow birds traveling to California and Arizona each winter. Their summers were spent at Whitlock on the Missouri River. Fishing was Clyde's favorite pastime. He was a past member of Tri-County Sams. Clyde is survived by his wife, Betty, of Redfield; his daughter, Barbara Romo, and her long time companion, Ed Sharp, of San Bernardino, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Jean Josewski, of Becker, Minn.; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Rebecca Lynn; three brothers, Harold, Rueben and Chester Josewski; one sister, Ida Swaney; and a nephew, Bill Josewski. Casketbearers are Keith Josewski, Bruce Josewski, Bonnie Thompson, Steve Swaney, Rick Thompson and Jeff Haessig. Honorary casketbearers are Rose Thompson, Al Swaney, Sandra McNeill, Crystal Harrington, Jack Josewski, Judy Smith, and all of Clyde's family and friends. Published in the Aberdeen News on 3/7/2006.
