Hinkle, 83, Topeka, died Monday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted after he suffered a broken right hip in a fall. He underwent surgery September 4th and suffered a cerebral hemorrhage September 8th. He was born January 25, 1890 at Powhattan and lived at Delia before he moved to Topeka in 1946. He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad 45 years and was a telegrapher before he retired in 1959. He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church. His wife, Mrs. Margaret Hinkle, died in 1959. Hinkle, Topeka; 2 stepsons, Volney Cottle, New York, and Richard Cottle, Ashland, Ore.; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Holdren, Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Scott Hinkle, Denver, Colo.; a stepsister, Mrs. Mary Coffenberger, Naches, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Services will be Friday at Brennan Funeral Home. Burial will ber in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Info provided by 47160903
