Description	:	Clyde Madison Jennings, 51, of Galax, died at a Roanoke hospital, after a short illness. following a stroke, Saturday morning, August 1, 1964. Mr. Jennings had been employed at Globman's store for 29 years, or since 1935. A brother, the late Curtis Jennings, also was a long-time Globman's employee. He had been a member of Mystic Union Lodge No. 144, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, and had been secretary of the lodge for some time. Surviving him are his Wife, Mrs. Daisy Elizabeth Overby Jennings; five brothers, Harry L. Jennings, Galax; Howard H. Jennings, Roanoke; Bernie L. Jennings, Chesapeake; Chester B. Jennings, Portsmouth, and Glenn S. Jennings, Statesboro, Ga., and one sister, Mrs, H. H. Henley, Fincastle. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m, Monday, August 3, at the First Christian Church by the Rev. W. E. Cunningham. minister of the church. The church choir sang "Does Jesus Care ?" and, "Meet Me There!" Interment was in Felts Memorial Cemetery. The body rested at Vaughan Guynn Funeral Home until time for removal to be placed in the church one hour before the services. Pallbearers were Nathan Potolsky. Ralph Sexton. Sammy Moore. Ronnnie Sikes, Bob Murphy, Charles Newman, otey Rector and Jimmy Henderson.
