Skoglund passed away in his sleep at his home in Geneva Sunday, July 31, 1966, aged 67 years, 9 months and 1 day. Clyde Martin Skoglund, son of August and Augusta Skoglund, was born on a farm southwest of Geneva October 30, 1898. He grew up on the farm. January 20, 1919, he was married to Emma Ondrak at York, Neb. To this union were born three children, Ernest Clyde, who died in 1960, Marjorie (Mrs. Floyd Doremus) of Loveland, Col., and Maxine (Mrs. Roy George) of Geneva. The family farmed in this area until 1957, when Mr. and Mrs. Skoglund retired because of Mr. Skoglund's physical disability. They had moved to Geneva in 1942. They resided at 409 South 10th. Besides his wife and two daughters, Mr. Skoglund is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lillian Skoglund of Loveland, Col., two sons-in-law, Roy George and Floyd Doremus. 15 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a brother, Walter of Pomona, Cal. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, at the Kritner-Farmer Funeral Home in Geneva, Rev. K. Orlando Lee officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Johnson sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "In the Garden." Mrs. Willard H. Foster was accompanist. Pallbearers were Ernest Heinrichs, William Krisl, Francis McPeck, John Reinsch, George Sieckmann, and Richard Wilke. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
