He had been in ill health two months. Stacey was born in Mifflin, Wis., June 5, 1891, and lived in Rapid City until 1941 when he moved to Fortuna. Survivors include his widow, Elvena; children, Goldie Laustrup, Rio Dell, Calif.; Ardyth Rush, Eureka, Calif.; Verdon Stacey, Fortuna; his father, John Stacey, Sturgis; a sister, Mrs. Maude Stuer, Wisconsin; and 12 grandchildren. Services were held in Fortuna.
