Description	:	Clysta G. Kimes, age 98, passed away on Feb. 13, 2013, at Bonaventure Retirement Center, Billings. She was born in Lead, S.D., June 27, 1914, to Norma Viola (Beckley) and Owen Everett Rosser. She and her family homesteaded near Sturgis, S.D., for eight years. In 1922, Clysta and her family moved to Athens, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. She graduated Athens High School in 1932 where she was the recipient of numerous awards in typing and shorthand and was an active member of the Home Economics Club and the Megaphone staff. She was born in Lead, S.D., June 27, 1914, to Norma Viola (Beckley) and Owen Everett Rosser. She and her family homesteaded near Sturgis, S.D., for eight years. In 1922, Clysta and her family moved to Athens, Ohio, where she spent most of her life. She graduated Athens High School in 1932 where she was the recipient of numerous awards in typing and shorthand and was an active member of the Home Economics Club and the Megaphone staff. She was also a member of Beata Sorority. Clysta belonged to the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Athens for 46 years where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and singing in the church choir. She married Ronald Kimes in 1934, and their marriage produced one daughter, Cheryl. From 1932 to 1942, Clysta was employed in the bookkeeping department of Stedman packing Company, Athens, Ohio. She was secretary to the president of Hocking Valley Bank at its inception and worked in that capacity from 1963 to 1967. Concurrently, she became an officer in National Secretaries Association where she served for 10 years. She was later employed as secretary to the president of Security Savings Bank from 1967 to 1970. Lastly, she was manager of Jones Reality until she moved to Billings in 1989. Clysta is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, and sister, Sybil Maerker. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl, son-in-law, John Sinz Jr., Molt, Mont.; and two grandchildren, Derek Austin, Portland, Ore., and Justin Conrad, Chicago, Ill. Following a service at Smith Funeral Chapel, Clysta will be interred beside her husband in the West Union Street Cemetery, Athens, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the church or charity of your choice.
