Description	:	JAMES HENRY GIBBONS of Melbourne, FL - he was the son of Fred Hamilton and Marion Eloise Ramsey Gibbons, the youngest of six. Preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Hendrick Gibbons and siblings, Hunter Gibbons, Perry Gibbons, Margaret Brannan and Caroline Clark, surviving are his wife of 40 years, Jeanette Gibbons (married 1980); children, Bob Clark of Satellite Beach, FL, Becky Clark Thomas of Rockledge, FL; daughters by Nancy, Jeanne Gibbons of Huntsville, AL and Lisa Gibbons of Gainesville, FL; sister, Ella Charnley of Ocala, FL; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona. Hank was a retired, 24 years, U.S. Army veteran, was a Trip Officer in the White House Communications Agency for the Nixon Administration and even accompanied the President on a trip to China, which was featured in Life Magazine in 1972. He had a career with the Harris Corporation, worked hard and rose to Vice President of the FAA division. He was a man of deep faith, was an ordained Elder in the Presbyterian Church and was the leader of his life group for many years. Memorial Services will be held at Suntree United Methodist Church in Melbourne, FL on October 3, 2020 with burial taking place on October 10, 2020. Beckman Williamson Funeral Home is serving the family. Published in Florida Today September 27, 2020.
